What is it?

An off-grid photovoltaic system is one that is disconnected from the grid.

The main difference with a grid-connected photovoltaic installation is that it requires an energy storage system (batteries).

This type of installation is most recommended for rural areas, where there is no direct electricity connection.

Batteries are responsible for storing the energy, to be used when needed.

Off-grid photovoltaic installations allow rural areas to enjoy electric energy and obtain improvements in lighting, signalling, water pumping, drip irrigation, among others.

With an isolated photovoltaic installation, it is possible to dispense with the need for diesel-powered electric generators, forgetting the annoying noise, saving money and putting an end to the pollution that it produces.

Photovoltaic solar panels. - They are responsible for converting solar energy into continuous electrical energy.

BatteriesEnergy accumulators, to be used when we have no production from the solar panels.

Charge regulator.- Device that monitors and protects batteries from overcharging or excessive discharge.

Investor.- Transforms direct current from batteries into alternating current for the use of electrical appliances and equipment.
